Many want to hear more about our conclusions
On 4-5 May, David Booth made presentations and responded to lively discussion about APPP findings at three venues in Sweden.
At the Africa Institute in Uppsala, he presented APPP Working Paper 13. This stimulated a robust and wide-ranging academic exchange about leadership and downward accountability in the governance of public provision under different types of political regime. At the Swedish Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and at International IDEA , both in Stockholm, he made a presentation around the APPP Policy Brief ‘Building on What Works’.
Both meetings were extremely well attended, confirming the strong interest among development and democracy practitioners in the issues APPP is researching. For many, the conclusions we are reaching are challenging and even disturbing; but they want to hear more.
