Dr. David Enweremadu was born in Lagos on the 30th of May 1973. An Indigene of Ngor Opkala, Imo State, he studied Political Science at the University of Ibadan, where he obtained a B.Sc Degree (Second Class Upper) in 1998 and M.Sc (PhD Grade) in 2001. After a brief stint as Research Assistant to Senator Tokumbo Afukuyomi of Lagos State, he proceeded to France for further studies, courtesy of a scholarship granted by IFRAIbadan/French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which he won in April 2002. While in France, he studied at the Institute d'Etudes Politiques de Bordeaux, Université Montesquieu Bordeaux IV, for his M A/PhD, which he obtained with Distinction in 2006. Dr. Enweremadu, who also holds a Professional Certificate in Public Relations from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and multi-lingual, joined the Department of Political Science, University of Ibadan, in September 2007. Dr Enweremadu also consults for a number of international organisations and his research interest includes Politics and Development in Africa; Public Policy and Administration and Anti-Corruption and Public Sector Reforms. He is currently the Leventis Nigeria Fellow at the Centre of African Studies/SOAS, University of London and is presently working on a book titled “Anti-Corruption Campaign and Politics in Nigeria: 1999-2007".
